DevCon Day 24

Just out side of Park City, UT is Olympic Park, we stopped to check it out and found a few people practicing ski jumping without snow. They were wearing wet suits skiing down the jump in to a pool of water. Very cool!

Most of our route was on Highway 40 heading West. When we were riding near the Cedar Mountain area (Map), we saw a sign showing this way to Strawberry Pinnacles.

Strawberry Pinnacles near Duchesne, UT was a great unexpected 18 mile detour we chose to take, even though most of the road was gravel and dirt. If you are ever in this area be sure to take this detour and enjoy the view.

We found a Springfield Suite Marriot in Vernal, UT and took an early break and stayed here for the rest of the day.

I cleaned up the bike at the local carwash and got my hair & beard trim at a local supercuts.

We had dinner next to the hotel at Cafe Rio to keep from riding anywhere and Cafe Rio turn out to be darn good. I had one of there Burrito "enchilada style".

By the way, the hot tub felt great!

A nice easy day with a great find!

DevCon Day 23

Headed South on Highway 26 out of Jackson, WY, at Alpine, WY we hopped on highway 89, 30 & 16 and rode South along the state line in and out of in and out of Wyoming and Idaho still we reached Evanston, WY. Before Cokeville, WY we saw the aftermath of an accident of a cattle truck that they were cleaning up. It looked like a few cattle were injured, not sure about the drivers. Sad!

We continue from Evanston, WY on Highway 80 in to Utah to Highway 40, then to Park City, UT, where we stayed the night in one of the Marriot resort hotels, in this beautiful town.

Crystal & I walked up and down Main street shopping and looked around for a place to eat. We ended up at the Bandits' Bar & Grill. Which I though was an excellent choice, even though we were getting some pretty good Texas BBQ in Utah. I bought a friend of mine (Jeff) a bottle of the BBQ Sauce. The margarita's were pretty good too.

Some great roads, riding, weather, and food!
