DevCon Day 24

Just out side of Park City, UT is Olympic Park, we stopped to check it out and found a few people practicing ski jumping without snow. They were wearing wet suits skiing down the jump in to a pool of water. Very cool!

Most of our route was on Highway 40 heading West. When we were riding near the Cedar Mountain area (Map), we saw a sign showing this way to Strawberry Pinnacles.

Strawberry Pinnacles near Duchesne, UT was a great unexpected 18 mile detour we chose to take, even though most of the road was gravel and dirt. If you are ever in this area be sure to take this detour and enjoy the view.

We found a Springfield Suite Marriot in Vernal, UT and took an early break and stayed here for the rest of the day.

I cleaned up the bike at the local carwash and got my hair & beard trim at a local supercuts.

We had dinner next to the hotel at Cafe Rio to keep from riding anywhere and Cafe Rio turn out to be darn good. I had one of there Burrito "enchilada style".

By the way, the hot tub felt great!

A nice easy day with a great find!

Wow, everyone should click on the first picture to see the others, 160 of them. Loved them, great scenery. The gravel/dirt roads are just perfect for my new bike whenever it arrives. Nice panoramas you have there, the land is just so much more beautiful than the east coast.
